On Wednesday, Oct. 8, members of sports teams, Greek organizations and various other groups on campus turned out for Take A Stand, A Walk Against Hazing and Bullying, hosted by Sigma Delta Tau.

The walk, beginning at the Nott Memorial, circled around campus.

All on-campus organizations had the opportunity to display banners or signs pledging their members’ dedication to the cause.

Hundreds of students marched, all showing their commitment to keeping hazing off of Union’s campus in all areas of social life.

President of Sigma Delta Tau Danielle Coppola ’15 stated, “The anti-hazing walk is a great way for the campus community, including all organizations and clubs, to unite under the same cause. Not only does it show cohesiveness within the organization, but on the entire campus as well.”

Started last year, the Take A Stand walk is slated to be an annual event that demonstrates the Union community’s resolve in ensuring the safety of students joining any on-campus organization.
