The 27-piece Union College Jazz Ensemble roars into the Emerson Auditorium Wednesday, March 13 at 8:00 p.m. for a high-energy concert of jazz, rock, and pop music.
Led by Prof. Tim Olsen, the group will feature Paul McCartney’s ‘Live and Let Die’ as well as Trey Anastasio’s ‘First Tube’. Vocalist Jessica Rivetz ’14 will perform Aretha Franklin’s ‘Respect’ and Michael Buble’s ‘Save the Last Dance for Me’. Rounding out the program are works from Wayne Shorter, Charles Mingus, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and a turn-of-the-century cakewalk.
