Bellini’s Italian Eatery

19 Clifton Country Road, Clifton Park, NY, 12065

Located just 15 minutes from Union, Bellini’s will provide you with a delicious Italian meal. Bellini’s gives you large portions, amazing sauce and a warm, friendly atmosphere—just what you want from an Italian eatery.

Meal Suggestion: Chicken Parmesean

Outfit Choice: Wear black leggings with a trendy long and loose top. Pair with a leather jacket and colorful scarf. Pull the look together with black boots and an oversized clutch with a pair of stud earrings and a large-faced watch.

Hana Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar

1620 Western Avenue, Albany, NY 12203

Hana is located down the road from Crossgate’s Mall. Its fun and lively atmosphere, accompanied by blue lighting and lots of hibachi tables, makes for an enjoyable experience.

Meal Suggestion: Angry Dragon roll or Dynamite roll

Outfit choice: I suggest dark denim jeans, a fun graphic tee, and some wedge heels. Accessorize with an armful of bangles and funky earrings. Bring along a large satchel and a trendy, warm coat and you will fit in perfectly.

Bountiful Bread

Stuyvesant Plaza, Albany, NY

Tired of Panera? Bountiful Bread is a great place to bring your laptop, do some homework, or just people watch. It is great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and their soups, sandwiches and pastries are amazing. Located in Stuyvesant Plaza, a strip mall filled with great specialty boutiques, Bountiful Bread will leave you full and happy.

Meal Suggestion: Chicken Caesar Wrap and a giant cupcake for dessert.

Outfit Choice: Try black leggings or yoga pants with a flat pair of boots, a warm, cozy scarf, and a neutral colored blazer with a ponytail.

The Barnsider

480 Sand Creek Road, Albany, NY

The Barnsider is one of my favorite restaurants in the area.  There are two different venues within it – the “Hawk Eye Grill” and the main dining room.  In the “Hawk Eye” bar room, sandwiches, burgers, and salads are available with an awesome free popcorn machine for your snacking enjoyment.  In the main dining room, a more refined menu is served, featuring the best salad bar in the capital district.

Meal Suggestion: “Hawk Eye” – a burger cooked to your liking; Main Dining Room – Chicken Florentine or a juicy steak.

Outfit Choice: Wear boot cut or flared jeans paired with super high heels, a plain tank top and a black boyfriend blazer. Sport this with a gorgeous statement necklaces and a big, ring on your pointer finger and a sock bun in your hair.

Macerloa’s Pizza Gram Plus

2514 Western Ave, Guilderland, NY

Macerloa’s has a great family atmosphere and offers great tasting pizza. Filled with big TVs to watch the game, it is known for its thick, delicious pizza and accompanying treats.

Meal Suggestion: Steak and Onion Specialty Pizza

Outfit Choice: Put on your most comfortable jeans with a pair of flat, leather boots and a plain black tank. Make sure you have some extra room in your jeans, because you will leave full.

Angelo’s 677 Prime

677 Broadway, Albany, NY

Angelo’s 677 Prime in Albany is great for a specialty dinner, celebration, or a Valentine’s date. The food, tasty and cooked to perfection, will leave your mouth watering for more. This fine-dining restaurant, owned by the same person who runs Apertivo in Schenectady, has a very classy environment with a great wait staff and an assuredly fabulous meal.

Meal Suggestion: 36 oz. Cab Porterhouse for Two

Outfit Choice: Dress up with a cute body-con winter-colored skirt with a tight black tank top, a dressy jacket, and tights. Accompany this with super-high black stilettos and some pretty bracelets and dangle earrings.

El Mariachi

144 Washington Ave, Albany, NY and 289 Hamilton Street, Albany, NY

This Mexican restaurant will fill you up with burritos, enchiladas, and delicious chips and salsa. When in the mood for some belly-bomb Mexican cuisine, El Mariachi is your best bet.

Meal Suggestion: Traditional Tacos with Carnitas

Outfit Choice: Throw on a pair of jeans, a flat pair of brown boots, a Union hoodie, and a pashmina for this casual Mexican joint.

Max London’s

466 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY

This tiny restaurant, attached to a delicious pastry shop, reminds me of a great late night New York City spot transplanted into the heart of Saratoga. Located on the main strip – Broadway – Max London’s has delicious food, a vibrant feel and a great clientele and wait staff.

Meal Suggestion: Appetizer – Salami + Cheese

Outfit Choice: Try dark denim skinny jeans, a pair of pumps, and a hi-lo tank top with a big, chunky bangle and your hair down.
