From the men’s team, Max Balter ‘12 took second place in the long jump with a jump of 6.80 meters. With that, he qualifies for the ECACs for the first time this season in the long jump.
Notable freshman Tosin Kazeem ran the 100-meter dash in 10.96 seconds. That time was good for third place and also a personal best for Kazeem. He also took third place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.55 seconds.
Freshman Kyle Tevlin posted a third place finish in the javelin with a distance of 50.36 meters.
The men also took third place in the 4×400-meter with a time of 3:30.00. The team consisted of Kazeem, Balter, Dylan Schuck ‘14 and Josh Davis ‘13.
For the women’s team, Kaitlin Camilleri ‘12 took first place in the hammer throw. She threw a staggering 49.94 meters, topping her previous personal best of 49.36 meters allowing her to qualify again for the ECACs.
Freshman Hannah Najar placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.23. Najar placed eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.06 seconds.
Najar also competed in the 4×100-meter relay with Cydnee Somera ‘15, Madeline Frieze ‘15 and Judy Horan ‘12, finishing in fourth with a time of 53.22 seconds.
Frieze also ran the 100-meter dash. She finished the race in fifth place with a personal best of 13.22 seconds.
Jessica Singer ‘12 also had a notable performance, finishing third in pole vault, jumping 2.95 meters. Both the men’s and women’s teams will travel back to Troy on April 28 to compete in the Capital District Classic.
