On Friday, May 15 at 4 p.m., the impressive dance versatility of 62 Union students will be showcased in the Steinmetz Dance Performance at the Nott Memorial.
The show will offer a diverse program filled with students’ skillful talents and vibrant enthusiasm. They will captivate you with their creativity and incredible stamina.
You will have the opportunity to observe a wide range of outstanding choreographies, including the work of Shilpa Darivemula ‘13, Julia Friedman ‘12, Jacob LaRocca ‘12, Jessica Nagourney ‘12, Jennifer Ofori-Kyerewah ‘13, Shaniqua Rogers ‘12, Alyssa Simeone ‘11, Ayanna Vinson-Dobson ‘11 and Amanda Wiener ‘12.
You will also be amazed by the breathtaking collaborative choreography of the Dance Experience students, as well as assistant dance director Marcus Rogers’s lyrical, rhythms and jazz pieces.
Tristan Allen, pianist/live electronics/rhythm designer, and Andy Iorio, pianist/musical director will fill the Nott with a celebration of live music.
The show will present dynamic performances by the Union Bhangra Group; the Ballroom Club, choreographed by Amber Woerner; and the Union College Dance Team, led by captains Robin Panella ‘11 and Rachael Singleton ‘11.
Furthermore, the Edward Villella Fellowship, sponsored by Charles D. Lothridge ‘44, will be announced at the end of the show. The laureate will receive a grant to expand his/her study of dance beyond the Union College experience.”
