Lazy Sundays ‘cured’

By Sam Bertschmann

Sam Bertschmann ‘14 & Emily Rosen ‘14 on “Radio Cure,” Sundays from 8 to 9 p.m.

Named for the great Wilco song, “Radio Cure” delivers an hour’s worth of excellent tunes with minimal talk.

Hosted by Emily Rosen ‘14 and myself, the show features music by our favorite artists, ranging from Ben Folds to The New Pornographers.

Due to technical difficulties with WRUC this past winter, spring 2011 essentially marks the second term of “Radio Cure.”

The show, born from our mutual love for Jeff Tweedy, started last fall when we arrived on campus along with former co-host Lindsay Bender ‘14, who has since landed an exciting internship with NESN (but should really come back to visit soon!).

Look out for special themed episodes later this term, including but not limited to “Back to the Sixties,” “A Tribute to Bonnaroo,” and “Michael Stipe Appreciation Hour.”

“Radio Cure” airs every Sunday from 8 to 9 p.m. on 89.7 WRUC.

The station will also return to online streaming soon, which was formerly accessed through

Don’t miss it!
