As the biting winter chill settles over campus, another term and another installment of the Concordiensis comes to a close. We hope that these last eight issues of the Concordy were filled with the news, features, and inevitable controversy that can only be expected of a college newspaper.
Please write to us and let us know how we’re doing; we only hope to improve the content that we deliver to the Union College campus and community.
In the next few weeks, don’t be surprised by the ‘Under Construction’ sign on concordy.com. With the help of our webmaster, Zak Smolen ‘13, we will complete the transition to the WordPress content management system and will finally unveil our brand new website.
Aside from a simpler and more intuitive navigation system, the new concordy.com will feature student blogs, photo galleries, and more interactive content. Follow us on Twitter (@Concordiensis) and Facebook over the winter break to get the latest updates on the new website.
With Aviva returning from Shanghai, next term promises to be a very busy one for the Concordiensis. We’re getting ready for our next full-color magazine and a widespread rebranding of the newspaper. Yes, that means new promotional items. And no, we’re not getting Concordy silly bands. We also discovered something rather peculiar about our official logo; keep an eye on the paper next term to find out more.
On behalf of the entire editorial staff, I wish all of our readers an enjoyable rest of the term and a fantastic winter break. We look forward to seeing all of you back on campus in the winter.
