The women’s basketball team gave it their all on their senior night but ended up falling short, losing to William Smith by a score of 70-61. Krystal Edwards ’17, Abby Katz ’17, Natalie Leone ’17 and Erin Lyons ’17 were honored during the senior day festivities as they wore their Union jerseys for the last time. Lyons had a stellar performance, scoring 17 points and getting seven rebounds, while her teammate Leone scored nine points. Jenni Barra ’18 also scored 17 points in the game and Sophie Borg ’19 scored 11, keeping the game close until the end. The score was a tight 56-53 with seven minutes left and it looked like Union could take the game.  But, even with the seniors giving it their all, William Smith wouldn’t budge as the final score came to be 70-61. Although this wasn’t the result the Dutchwomen were hoping for, they notched another non-losing season, finishing with a final record of 12-12. This was the team’s seventh non-losing season in a row.
