Q: When did you first start playing soccer and what got you into it?

A: I first started playing when I was 9 years old. My dad had always played throughout his life and encouraged me to try out and play for myself. After that I just fell in love with the sport and have played ever since.

Q: What made you choose Union when you were looking at schools?

A: I immediately liked the small campus, specifically the relationship between the teachers and students that come with the small school. Another big part was that I had met the team earlier, and really liked all of the guys. I thought I would fit in well.

Q: What is your favorite moment of the season to this point?

A: So far I would say the best part was our first win of the Liberty League season against Bard College. It was a game that really put us on the right track and gave us the opportunity to succeed deeper into the year.

Q: Coming in as a freshman, how has the older leadership on the team helped you adjust to the new environment and level of play?

A: I think that’s actually been the most important part for me. They’ve done a great job of helping out. They’ve been a really nice group of guys that have helped us adjust to everything, and given us tips to help fit into the new environment.

Q: Do you have any individual or team goals that you are looking forward to achieving this year?

A: Right now I hope that as a team we can win the Liberty League, which is something we’ve put ourselves in a position to do so far with our play. Other than that I think that it would be great if we could end up making a significant run in the NCAAs, so that we can really prove ourselves.

Q: In what ways has being a student-athlete helped you get the best out of your experience at Union so far?

A: The biggest thing that I’ve learned is time management. During season your schedule basically consists of work, practice, and then more work, so you really have to learn how to schedule all your time.

Q: What is your favorite aspect of Union outside of soccer?

A: Probably all the opportunities that are available to get involved in clubs around campus, as well as all of the Minervas and opportunities that they have to offer.

Q: What is your go-to order at Rathskellar?

A: Definitely a double cheeseburger and some french fries.
