Hometown: Pittsford, N.Y.
Sport: Women’s basketball
Q: When did you start playing basketball and what got you interested in it?
A: I started playing when I was really little. I was maybe six or seven years old and my town had a program where kids could go and shoot baskets twice a week. Also, both my parents played basketball. As I played more, I really fell in love with the sport.
Q: What’s the best thing about the Union Women’s Basketball team?
A: The girls on the team are definitely the best part. The friendships you make playing together are great. It really helps to love the sport when you love the girls you’re playing with.
Q: What’s been your favorite moment with the Union Women’s Basketball Team so far?
A: There’s been a couple. One was this year when we had to clinch our spot for playoffs in a game against RPI. We had had a few losses leading up to the game but a couple of people stepped up in that game and we pulled through.
Q: What are your favorite teams to play against?
A: There are a couple good ones. My all-time favorite is St. Lawrence because they’ve always been good in the past. Also, RPI and Skidmore just because they’re so close. Those games are always a good time.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about Union?
A: I love that I am able to balance being a bioengineering major and playing basketball. I know so many people who say the same thing. Union allows for you to pursue lots of different interests.
Q: What’s your go-to food of choice on campus?
A: I tend to switch it up but my go-to is a turkey wrap from Dutch.
Q: What’s your favorite restaurant in Schenectady?
A: Over break, I had the chance to go to a bunch of restaurants with the team. My favorite is Scotia Diner. It’s really good.
