Q: When did you first start playing basketball and what got you interested in the sport?

A: I first started playing basketball with my uncle; he was a basketball coach. We started this church league, and that was my first time playing recreationally. Ever since then, I’ve fallen in love with it. Basketball wasn’t my first sport — I started off playing baseball, and played football as well, but I fell in love with basketball and stuck with that through middle school and high school.

Q: What is your favorite memory playing at Union?

A: My favorite memory is actually this year when we played Rochester. The game went into overtime, and I hit a half-court buzzer-beater to win the game. That is my favorite memory so far, but hopefully we make more memories this year and bring home a Liberty League Championship.

Q: Who is your favorite team or player to go against?

A: I love to go against St. Lawrence — two of my friends from high school go there. I would also say Skidmore, just because they won the championship last year, they’re a very good team and they always provide good competition.

Q: Is there anyone in particular you like to model your game after?

A: I would say LeBron James, because he’s a great floor general and a phenomenal leader. He brings together all of the guys on his team and tries to get everybody involved. All the players look up to him and he holds high expectations for his teammates.

Q: What do you hope to accomplish both individually and as a team this season?

A: Individually, I hope to win Liberty League Player of the Year and to elevate the play of my teammates. My team goal is for us to win the Liberty League Championship and make the NCAA tournament.

Q: What is your favorite part about Union?

A: I like how many social events they hold — there’s always something to do, even on weeknights.

Q: What is your favorite thing to eat on campus?

A: It’s a buffalo chicken quesadilla from Dutch Hollow.

Q: What’s your favorite restaurant in Schenectady?

A: My favorite restaurant is Johnny’s.
