After dropping its Sept. 29 matchup against a talented Williams team, the Union College Women’s Volleyball team has been on an 11-game winning streak, including a sweep at the Hartwick Invitational and Liberty League victories over Skidmore, Vassar, RIT and Bard. The team’s overall record so far this season stands at an impressive 22-4. Top performers for the Dutchwomen include Rachel Wyman ’16, who was named the Liberty League Volleyball Performer of the Week in early October, and Amanda Price ’17, who earned herself a spot on the Liberty League Honor Roll thanks to her stellar play. The Dutchwomen’s 3-1 victory over Penn State-Behrend served as the team’s senior game where Wyman, Lauren Woods ’18 and Kelley White ’18 were honored. Also, in the Dutchwomen’s contest against RIT, White earned herself a spot in the 1,000-kills club. The Dutchwomen next will compete in several league contests, then will wrap up their regular season at the Skidmore Invitational on Halloween weekend.
