Several members of the Union Women’s Ice Hockey team laugh on the bench during one of their games. The Dutchwomen began their season the final weekend in September, traveling to Minnesota for a double-header against Minnesota State-Mankato. In this series, the Dutchwomen tied their first game 2-2 then dropped their second 3-0. Next, they took on UCONN, playing to a 2-2 draw. Most recently, the team took on Carleton in a Homecoming Weekend game at Messa Rink that saw a great turnout. The Dutchwomen dominated, winning the game 6-1. A leading offensive force for the team this year is Kathryn Tomaselli ’16. Rookies Melissa Black ’19 and Leah Patrick ’19 have been sharing time in goal. This weekend, the Dutchwomen will take on Penn State in a two-game series.
