Union tennis players compete in ITA Northeast Regional

Julianne Loree ’18 returns the ball in her match at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regionals, hosted by William Smith College in Geneva, N.Y. Competing for Union in the tournament were Loree, Natalia Pronchick ’17, Paige Webster ’19, Hayley Lough ’16, Anthony Laurencio ’16, Zach Kaplan ’19 and Max McGeown ’19. Loree, Pronchick, Lough, Laurencio and Kaplan all competed in singles matches, with Loree and Pronchick winning their first-round matches but dropping their second-round ones. Lough dropped her first match and went on to play a second-round consolation match, which she also ended up losing. Laurencio and Kaplan both were defeated in their first-round matches. Pronchick and Webster competed in doubles for the Dutchwomen, dropping their first-round match, while Laurencio and McGeown competed in doubles for the Dutchmen, also dropping their first-round match.
