Q: How long have you been playing baseball?

A: I’ve been playing since I was three.

Q: Who got you started?

A: My dad — baseball is his big thing. But my whole family is pretty athletic, anyway.

Q: What is your favorite baseball memory?

A: At one game in high school, I scored two home runs in one inning.

Q: What are your goals for this season?

A: We’re hoping to win the league and then do some damage at regionals. We want to go as far as we can.

Q: Do you have any superstitions?

A: I have a lot. First of all, I haven’t shaved in 11 games. I wear the same undershirt every game, but don’t worry — I wash it! I also always have to be closer to the field than the line when we’re warming up.

Q: What is your favorite pre-game meal?

A: Recently, it’s been bagels and orange juice.

Q: What is your favorite pump-up song?

A: “1994” by Jason Aldean.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete?

A: Manny Ramirez.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Union?

A: Definitely the class schedule. I really like taking three classes a term.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: I’m not really sure yet. I’ll either go to graduate school or get a job.

Q: If you could have dinner with any three people (dead or alive) who would you choose?

A: That’s a tough one. George Washington, Jesus and Ray Bourque.
