On Thursday, October 13, restaurants from all over Schenectady area brought free food samples to every Minerva house on campus.
From 5 to 7 p.m., students traveled from Minerva to Minerva with plates filled to capacity.
The restaurants reflected a wide variety of cultural foods, both enlightening students of ethnic cuisines and providing cost-free meals to fill their stomachs.
Participating restaurants included, Mr. Wasabi, Perreca’s, Katie O’Byrnes and Cafe Nola. Tara’s Kitchen brought unique Moroccan dishes that differed from traditional American flavors.
Zen Asian Fusion Lounge provided a buffet ranging from sushi to lo mein noodles and chicken teryaki, exhibiting cuisines from a variety of Asian countries.
Villa Italia provided the main dessert attraction of the evening, allowing students to choose from an assortment of traditional Italian bakery items.
James Boggs ’18 commented, ”Now that I have tasted foods from different restaurants around the Schenectady area, I am significantly more inclined to explore more off campus dining options.”
