Angelica Rivera is the new Vice President of Multicultural Affairs

  1. What does your position entail?

My position focuses mainly on bringing diversity to campus, as well as providing a safe space and understanding of what diversity entails.

  1. What are your goals for the position?

My main goal as the VP of Multicultural Affairs is to enhance the knowledge of diversity. For example, who/what falls under ‘diversity’?

  1. How did you feel when you received the news that you won?

When I received the news I was grateful and humbled that my friends and classmates believe that I am fit for the position.

  1. Do you have any initiatives/plans that you would want/plan to introduce on campus anytime soon?

I will make it a priority to bring any suggestions and ideas that have been reached out to me to student forum and if it is possible to pursue, I will work intensely alongside with student forum until it succeeds.

  1. Do you have any initiatives/plans that you would want/plan to introduce on campus anytime soon?

I plan on using the rest of this term working with Mayte Martinez and Jason Benitez to have a fuller understanding and different perspectives on my position. That way, by next term I will be ready to smoothly fulfill my plans and initiatives.
