Concert Club brought Nate Ruess, lead vocalist for alt-rock band fun., and the Campus Consciousness Tour Village (pictured above and left) to Union on Friday.
The goal of the Campus Consciousness Tour is to connect “Millenials’ favorite bands with social and environmental causes to inspire and activate the next generation of change makers on campuses across the country,” according to the Reverb website. This year’s tour partnered with NextGen Climate, Ben & Jerry’s and HeadCount. The Campus Consciousness Tour Village contained booths dedicated to these organizations.
The Nate Ruess concert saw about 300 attendees, according to Concert Club President Stephanie Dick ’16. This attendance is in keeping with past Concert Club events, as the Andy Grammer and Matt & Kim concerts, in winter 2015 and fall 2013, had similar attendances.
Correction: An earlier version of this article stated that the Andy Grammer concert occurred in the spring of 2015. The concert actually took place on Jan. 31, 2015.
