Dutchwomen Basketball lose at St. Lawrence, 62-47

CANTON, NY -- Jenna Wolff scored a game high 14 points and Lauren Sischo added 13 to lead St. Lawrence to a 62-47 women's basketball victory over Union in Liberty League play at Burkman Gym Saturday afternoon. The Saints, winners of 12 of 13 games overall, sent the Dutchwomen to a 7-6 overall record (1-2 in the league).

Jenna Krzemien had 12 points and made six of nine shots while Kim Sikule pulled down nine rebounds and added four steals for St. Lawrence. The Saints forced 25 turnovers and had a 35-15 lead at halftime.

Union was led by junior forward Rachel Ormsby (Charlton, NY), who posted team highs of 11 points and nine rebounds. Michelle Rogers (Clarence, NY) had Rachel Scott (Colonie, NY) had seven points each. The Dutchwomen had a 39-35 rebounding average and outshot the Saints, 41% to 34%.

Union captain Devon Ciliberto (New Paltz, NY) added six rebounds in the contest.

The Dutchwomen have six of the next nine games at home at the Viniar Athletic Center. Union hosts Hamilton Friday, January 25 at 6 p.m. and William Smith Saturday, January 26 at 2 p.m.
