The Dutchmen's offense came alive this weekend in games against Worcester State (2-4-0) and Nazareth College (2-2-2).

The Dutchmen started the past weekend off with a 6-1 victory over Worcester State. Jon Bellock connected with Chris Poey five minutes into the game to open up the scoring frenzy. Chris added to his tally in the 27th minute when he received a cross from Tripp Pietrak. Tripp Pietrak scored less then a minute later, leaving the Lancers defense both tired and confused.

To start off the second half, in the 50th minute sophomore Ryan Banagan scored his first goal of the season. Tripp Pietrak followed up again in the 64th minute when he dribbled through several defenders to beat the Worcester State goalie. The Dutchmen opened their bench up and several freshmen got some experience. Chris Choido added to the rout when he scored an unassisted goal. The Lancers got on the board in the 77th minute, when Matt Brothers scored off of a penalty kick. The Dutchmen out-shot the Lancers 25-5. Goalie Rob Kramer played the first 80 minutes before freshman Ryan Green took over in net.

Almost 24 hours after their mauling of Worcester State, the Dutchmen didn't lose any momentum when they took the field against Nazareth College.

Pietrak scored the first three goals against a weak Nazareth defense. Pietrak opened up the game in the 6th minute when he scored from a beautiful pass by Poey. Before halftime, Pietrak added his second of the night when he scored an unassisted goal beating Nazareth goalie Trey Baressi. Nazareth best and only offensive threat came from a Schenectady local, Justin Flores, however, Goalie Rob Kramer tapped the ball wide.

Pietrak scored his third goal of the night when the combined effort of Poey and Brendan Steiner left Pietrak free to tap the ball in. A minute later in the 70th minute, John Bellock added an unassisted goal to cap off the night. Dutchmen goalie Rob Kramer stopped 4 shots on goal as the Dutchmen out-shot Nazareth 20-9. This was the second shut-out of the season for Kramer.

The Dutchmen are in action this Friday, September 21, when they play a league match against Hobart at 4 pm.
