A celebration of friendship and fall is set to take place on campus from October 21 to October 23. Known as Homecoming and Family Weekend, the event hosts families, students and alumni over a series of fun-filled, interactive events running throughout the weekend.
“The College is excited to welcome back over 1,600 guests this year for what promises to be an amazing weekend,” said Damond Heath, Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement. “We hope everyone enjoys spending time with their families at the various events – we have so many great activities to choose from.”
Homecoming has been a tradition at Union College since 1923. The weekend has grown to commemorate all of the many accomplishments of the college ranging from academics to sports. Each and every year there is something new to look forward to but the campus in the fall is just as you remember it, filled with the energy of new and returning students, the feel of crisp fall days and the greenery abundant on campus.
Highlights of this year’s festivities include: Tail-gate and Family Picnic, Pumpkin Carving Competition, First-year Family Reception, Visit-a-Class, Faculty Lectures and numerous Union Men’s and Women’s athletic events, which includes Ice Hockey, Volleyball and Lacrosse.
