It was a sight to be seen. On Sat., May 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 50 fraternity brothers walked around the Field House in high-heeled shoes for 45 minutes. In the weeks preceding the event, members of the sponsoring organizations-The Interfraternity Council, Safe Space, and PanHellenic Council- encouraged Union students to sponsor their favorite fraternity brother.

Public transportation is both a gift and a curse. Having never used public transport on a regular or even daily basis previous to my time in Washington D.C., I never truly understood the plight of the weekday commuter.

On television and in movies, office water cooler talk commonly centers on office relationships, boss-mocking, and the terrible commute into work that morning.

With a large staff here at the Concordiensis, there is one phenomenon around campus that we can no longer turn a blind eye to. It is something we have become quite fond of this past spring term, and we affectionately call it the Brocean: a magical land full of bros, brews, babes, and burgers.

Dear Editor:

A recent display in front of the Nott Memorial claimed that so far the United States has spent $607 billion on wars and that this money could have been better used to employ teachers, insure people, buy windmills and the like. The underlying assumption here is that the military expenditure has been wasteful.

My four-year Union athletic career was not the typical collegiate student-athlete experience. It was less like a natural progression, and more like a winding journey.

After spending two years post-high school playing junior hockey for the Boston Bulldogs, I was all set to attend Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and play hockey.

This year was a great year for Union Athletics. Many student-athletes were honored by their league and some were even nationally recognized, and numerous of Union teams won tournaments and league championships. While there were many great moments in 2009-2010, I feel that there are 10 that specifically standout.

This year, the World Views section aimed to depict in its coverage just how committed Union is to exposing the campus to diversity that exists here.

The school prides itself on becoming more diverse with every incoming class. Through various programs, groups, clubs, and classes, students and faculty have ample resources to learn about cultural variances.

In all the furor over the catastrophic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, one question is on everybody's lips: who ultimately bears responsibility for the technological infrastructure that allows our society to function?

As technology becomes more and more integrated with, and more and more necessary in order to live in a modern society, there must be a wide-spread, commonly accepted understanding of the purpose, ownership, and function of the infrastructure that makes that society possible.

1) How did you meet?

Megan: Ben and I met our first year at Union in West Dining Hall. A girl in my hall was always going on and on about her awesome friend Ben she had met during outdoor orientation. I had NO idea who this Ben was, but I felt like I knew him personally because my hall-mate talked about him so much! During one lunch, my group of friends ended up sitting with my hall-mate's group of friends, and one of those friends was Ben.

MACGRUBER FULL OF PASSABLE MAYHEM, ENJOYABLY?STUPID

Let me use a proper method, readers, to express my opinion of the film MacGruber:

MACGRUBER!!!

You'd expect this film to fall flat, as did Night at the Roxbury…

MACGRUBER!!!

But how it rolled out plot like pizza dough is just plain scary…

MACGRUBER!!!

It's oddly quite enjoyable!

MACGRUBER!!!!

In all seriousness, though, MacGruber is a classic short skit from Saturday Night Live, a series that, to put it mildly, has seen better days but currently feels like its comedy has been impaled with a celery stick.

Robin Hood

Ridley Scott's Robin Hood is a prequel to the classic myth that bears only a basic resemblance to the story you've heard. It tells the tale of a green-clad archer who becomes a people's champion fighting against an oppressive government alongside a merry company of misfits and makeshift warriors.

Like the phoenix reborn from its own ashes, so too have the summer months risen from the depths of a world only recently swaddled in Winter's cold embrace.

As is often explained, time waits for no man, especially for the determined fellow lusting to separate himself from the huddled masses abound on our campus.
