Students volunteer at John Calvin Toll Day

The 12th annual John Calvin Toll day, which took place on Saturday, Oct. 15, was a day of community service dedicated to helping over 20 local organizations. Approximately 200 Union students gathered outside of Old Chapel to show their commitment to helping their host community, Schenectady. The projects ranged from large-scale tasks such as Irene flood relief and Habitat for Humanity projects to church clean-ups and painting at Cocoa House.

“It was a great bonding experience with my fellow students, as well as an indispensible opportunity to help those less fortunate and get to know my community outside the campus gates,” said Kyle Pilkington ‘14.

Thank you, Trevor for these nice photos. We received so many heartfelt thank you cards because of all the work you and your peers did last Saturday. I will post this article to our facebook page so others can view the pics.
