Union’s new Dean of Studies

Incoming Dean of Studies Mark Wunderlich prepares a student for the Ethics Bowl.

Philosophy professor Mark Wunderlich was appointed to the Dean of Studies position for a three year term, starting this September. He will take over for current Dean of Studies Kristin Bidoshi.Wunderlich earned his B.A. in mathematics from Harvard University and his Ph.D in philosophy from the University of Arizona.According to an e-mail sent out to the Union community, Wunderlich has contributed to many aspects of life on campus. He helped prepare Union’s Ethics Bowl team and organized a competition at Union, as well as assist the Subcouncil on Academic Integrity, Becker Career Center, “Alcohol and U” programming, the Greek Awards program and the Engineering and Liberal Education Symposium.

The search committee was comprised of many Union community members, including professors, deans, students and support staff of the college.
