From Nov. 2-5, the Union College Theater Departments is performing “Romeo and Juliet.” Each show begins at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee will be held on Nov. 6 at 2 p.m.
Union’s production of the Shakespeare play invokes the post-apocalyptic world of “Mad Max.”
Cassandra Padilla ’17 is playing the Friar of Lawrence in the play and shared, “This is not the typical Shakespeare performance you go to see with your grandma who adores a cute love story. The audience is in for a phenomenal performance with stellar rock music created specifically for this show, a set that pushes steel and metal to a whole new level and so much action that you don’t want to miss.”
Tickets for the play can now be purchased at the Box Office in the Yulman Theatre lobby Monday through Friday from 12:30-1:30. Tickets can also be purchased the evening of the performance. Tickets cost $7 for alumni, senior citizens and people with an Union ID and $10 for the general public.
