I am sure you can feel the love in the air already. Valentine’s Day is just a few days away.

If you are single, read further if you want to read about somewhere nice to go this Sunday.

If you’re looking for a great place to take your significant other to or just want a good restaurant, look no further!

If you are in the mood for Greek, head to the Blue Ribbon restaurant. Their extensive menu is only outdone by their even larger dessert window.

While not too fancy, the Blue Ribbon offers great handmade meals at a price friendly to college students.

If you are looking for something a bit fancier, check out Johnny’s. Johnny’s offers great Italian food and if you’re of age, great drinks.

Coupling their great entrees are excellent small plates and a tasty dessert selection. Warning, if you plan on going here, make a reservation.

If you want something spicy on the night of love, Tara’s Kitchen is your spot. They serve great Mediterranean food with well-balanced flavors.

The intimate setting allows for a very romantic night. However, it can get quite busy if you try going during the dinner rush.

A unique feature is that the food is cooked in terracotta pots (tagines) and brought to your table, smoking hot.

To satisfy your inner Italian, turn to Canali’s. Canali’s offers authentic Italian food at a reasonable price.

The huge portions really stretch the dollar and the great taste is coupled with excellent service. Just a side note, their homemade pasta and sauce are to die for.

If you already have a place in mind, there are also great things to do here in Schenectady.

You could go and get two tickets for Bow Tie Cinemas from the Office of Student Activities at a discounted price and go out to see one of the many great new movies out today.

If you are looking for something unique, Canvas, Corks, and Forks can offer you just that.

There you can create your own masterpiece or enjoy some tasty mac and cheese.

The Museum of Innovation and Science can be an excellent date night for the couple looking to have an educational date.

Not only are many exhibits hands-on, but there is also an impressive planetarium to explore. You may also want to visit the Edison Tech Center.

The museum not only focuses on Thomas Edison, but also Union’s very own Charles Steinmetz.

Hopefully these places can help you have a very special Valentine’s Day. If none of these suggestions seem to fit your plans or budgets, remember just a little thought this Valentine’s Day can go a long way.
