  • Zipcar will be coming to campus THIS spring term! A contract has been signed, forming an official partnership for two years. The cars will be brought to campus over spring break, so be on the lookout for them upon your return! We will have a big launch event in the first week of the term.

  • CDTA Update: Forum met with CDTA representative Jonathan Scherzer to discuss what a partnership would look like. Forum will continue discussing the opportunity and no decisions have been made. If we entered into a contract, students would be able to ride the CDTA busses for free using their Student ID. Please let us know how you feel!

  • Student Forum has approved additional funding for the Springfest Committee, WRUC and The Garnet’s budget. The Garnet is our yearbook. Be on the lookout for great things to come from all of these organizations.

  • Next week is Founders Week! Student Forum will be co-sponsoring Breakfast for Dinner with the Garnet Society next Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 9-11 p.m. Mark your calendars and come hungry for some eggs, pancakes, bacon and more!

  • Chief of Staff Rob Kelly has updated Forum on the progress for the new Vice President of Academics search. Three candidates are coming to campus during the first week of March, and Forum will have the opportunity to meet with them and offer feedback to the search committee.

  • Last Friday, VP of Multicultural Affairs Mayte Martinez ’18 and Student Forum President Ilan Levine ’16 met with the presidents of the three Greek councils to discuss microaggressions at parties. As of now, there is not a set of criteria on who can be let into on-campus parties. Discussion of establishing a set criteria was the focus of the meeting. Further details to follow.

  • This Friday elections are being held for the new VP of Administration. There are three people running for the position. All class years can vote, so be on the lookout for the email link Friday morning!
