  • THIS WEEK: Club status for baseball, Campus Kitchens, UCEO, Good Eats; budget increase for COCOA House; Green Fee proposals due; printers in CPH this winter.
  • We are pleased to announce that last Wednesday, Oct. 21, Student Forum granted club status to Club Baseball, Campus Kitchens, UCEO and Good Eats. As Good Eats and Campus Kitchens have both been on campus for several years, they were approved for club status with a five-week probationary period.
  • A budget proposal for increasing the COCOA House budget passed. The club requested extra money in order to expand food and transportation options to and from Union for community youth and Union student tutors. Student Forum approved a slightly smaller increase than was requested, and gave the club a 10-week period to brainstorm the most cost-efficient ways to further develop club.
  • Student Forum is now looking into revising the Reamer flyer policy in hopes of changing the maximum number of flyers from 10 to five. The general consensus is that the numbers of individual and duplicate flyers within Reamer are overwhelming. Further discussion to come …
  • Green Fee proposals are due this Friday, Oct. 30. The Green Fee money is granted by Student Forum to the best student proposal that fosters a greener planet! Proposals and questions for either grants or the Green Fee can be sent to sustain@union.edu.
  • Student Forum met with Paul Diebas, and we are proud to announce that there will be a printer available in College Park Hall this winter term. There will be a follow-up meeting for more details coming soon.
  • The Panhellenic pumpkin painting event with Union faculty and kids on Greek Row this past Saturday was a success! Thank you to all the sorority sisters, new members and faculty who came out to show their sisterly and Union pride despite the cold!
  • Once again, we encourage students to stay informed of our progress and become more engaged in student governance and campus life. Student Forum meetings are held Wednesdays at (NEW TIME) 5:45 p.m. in Reamer 410. Meetings are open to the student body to listen in on.
